Better News Sources
Just give us the facts, and we will decide.  Take control of what you read, before it controls you.

Listed below are over 50 news sources that are much more reliable on specific topics that affect your life.  How do they compare to the major news sources?  Did you realize that 75% of Americans claim to be Christians?  Yet the former New York Times reporter Steve Roberts, on CNN’s Reliable Sources, March 27, 2005 said, “I worked for the New York Times for 25 years.  I could probably count on one hand, in the Washington bureau of the New York Times, people who would describe themselves as people of faith....”

Of course it is (biased) ...These are the social issues: gay rights, gun control, abortion and environmental regulation, among others.  And if you think The Times plays it down the middle on any of them, you’ve been reading the paper with your eyes closed.  New York Times Public Editor Daniel Okrent in a July 25, 2004 column.  Here is a link to over 30 more quotes from the media themselves, admitting their bias.  No wonder we need to take control of what we read, before it controls us.

Intentionally misleading news or innocent mistakes?  All reporters sometimes make mistakes.  But who would you rather get your news from: groups that have a fear of God, or groups that have no fear of God?  150 years ago, in many states, you could not take the witness stand in a court of law, unless you believed in the God of the Bible.  Why?  Because the law said if you did not fear God then you had no real fear of lying.  After all, if God does not exist, why not lie or deceive to get what you want?  So which news organizations do not have a fear of lying?  The ones that do not fear God.  So which media organizations have the highest percentage of misleading news?  Same answer, the ones that do not fear God.

No wonder politics looks so dirty.  One group that ignores God has the media defending them, and the other group that has some fear of God has the vast majority of the media attacking them.  Most Americans do not know which news sources are reliable.  Educate yourself on the media’s bias and select sources that at least fear God.  Government is supposed to be the servant of God in dealing with evil doers (Romans 13:3), and are to be ruling in the fear of God (2 Samuel 23:3).  See what happened in an American town (Town's-Experiment-Of-Removing-God, Where-Christians-Were-Not-Allowed.pdf).  George Washington said, “the propitious [favorable] smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained.  But what is the attitude of those that report on the government today?

Where I work at ABC, people say ‘conservative’ the way people say ‘child molester.’” ABC 20/20 co-anchor John Stossel to CNSNews.com reporter Robert Bluey, in a story posted January 28, 2004. (ABC has No fear of God)

In a 1985 survey of journalists (reporters and editors) from 621 papers across the country by the Los Angeles Times, 82% favored abortion, 67% opposed prayer in public schools, and 78% wanted strict gun control.  Again, these numbers do not represent the general public.  (Journalists: They have No fear of God.)

George Barna and William Paul McKay published Vital Signs: Emerging Social Trends and the Future of American Christianity in 1984.  They report from a 1983 study, which showed that 75% of television executives claimed to be politically “liberal.”  Only 7% attended church regularly and 44% stated that they had no religious affiliation.  80% stated that homosexuality was not wrong.  51% did not think adultery was wrong.  A whopping 97% approved of abortion. One can only wonder if those statistics are even worse 35 years later.

Better Sources: News, Economics, Family Values, Voting, etc.

Warning: most of these have several soul-damaging doctrinal errors. But at least they have some fear of God. Fearing God causes these sources to often admit their mistakes and to be more careful with the facts. But ABC, NBC, CBS, New York Times, etc. do not even begin to fear God.

Prager University: 1.8 Billion views so far.  Most important ideas in free, five-minute videos.
Goal: a more rational America.  Here are some links to the over 480 videos on free speech, is America racist, race relations, feminism, political junkies, history, taxes (tale of three brothers), left vs right, environment & climate change, Islamism, immigration, socialism, capitalism, parenting, schools, most popular, biggest issues, sex, men & women, ideas for a better you, etc.
They take the best ideas from the best minds and distill them down to five focused minutes.  Then they add graphics and animation to create the most persuasive, entertaining, and educational case possible for the values that have made America and the West the source of so much liberty & wealth.  These values are Judeo-Christian at their core. Results: 86% said they use or reference PragerU videos when engaging in political discussions and 70% said the videos have changed their minds on at least one issue.  Why has YouTube censored 80 videos and Wikipedia only tries to find fault with PragerU?

Access To Energy (Science, technology & energy, including global warming.)  The media share a common inability to evaluate the data.  Example: Do not drink the water? They reported the maximum measured activity in rainwater washing out Chernobyl’s iodine over the US: 0.00036 microcuries per liter.  There is about 4 liters to the gallon; hence 63,000 gallons of “contaminated” rain water “full of fallout” will give you as much radioactive iodine as you get when you have your thyroid checked.  Does that tiny grain of knowledge make you feel good?  It should, because America’s news media and largest periodicals don’t have it.
Access To Energy is about the truth and how to arrive at it in scientific fields.  In all other cases of irrational panic, Access to Energy gives reasons, not parroted hunches, for its conclusions; and it tells you where you can check them independently.  If you want to form an opinion by rational conclusion from measured data, subscribe to Access to Energy.

Investing with Biblical Principles: Timothy Plan.  When we designed Timothy Plan, we spent countless hours investigating companies to determine if they were involved in any unbiblical practices.  In 1994, we pioneered the first pro-life, pro-family screening standard.  Our commitment, first to our Lord, is that we will not invest a single penny into any company that violates our screens.  Selecting a mutual fund should be about more than its rate of return—it should also be morally responsible.  Timothy Plan's mission is to enable you to invest in a manner that combines both of these objectives.

News & Bible Study Materials: Affiliated with the Churches of Christ

The following do not have Biblical errors, as far as we know (except the “praying to Jesus” error by Wayne Jackson at Christian Courier). If you find any other Biblical errors on these sites, let us know.

Apologetics Press (Scientific and General Defense of the scriptures … Videos, research articles, books, audios)  Goal: make available more scripturally sound and scientifically accurate materials in the field of Christian apologetics.  Faith in God and the Bible must be based on evidence, and not blindly accepted (1 Thessalonians 5:21; Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1; John 8:32).  Christianity is the one true religion (John 14:6), and Jesus Christ is the only divine, resurrected Son of God and Savior of the world (1 John 4:14).  The 66 books of the Bible are fully and verbally inspired of God, and have been transmitted faithfully; hence, they are inerrant and authoritative, and a complete guide for moral and religious conduct.  See the proof for yourself. Links to Alleged Bible Discrepancies, America’s Culture War, Creation Vs. Evolution, Deity of Christ, Existence of God, Inspiration of the Bible, Islam & Other World Religions, free PDF books, Journal for Adults, Journal for Kids, etc.
For many more, see   ApologeticsPress.org

Christian Courier (1000s of articles)  Articles designed to present the teaching of Jesus in a short (usually one or two pages), simple, lucid style not characterized by ostentation or inflated language.  It is written for average Christians — to help them become more knowledgeable in God’s Word, to fortify their faith in the Savior, and to equip them for defending the truth and living righteously in a sinful world.  Examples:  Do We Have a Choice About Salvation?  What is the difference between Bible dispensations and the doctrine of dispensationalism?  6 Reasons Why Some Prayers Are Never Answered and more.  Again, the only error we know about is the Praying to Jesus.
ChristianCourier.com

World Video Bible School (Over 1000 short faith-building videos and free courses)  DVDs, CDs, MP3s, Posters, Books, eBooks, Notebooks, Electronic Notebooks, and Websites.  Over 1,800,000 tapes/DVDs and nearly 100,000 books have been sent throughout the world (as well as millions of pages of teaching materials have been distributed across the globe with some of the most popular materials being translated into many other languages).  Our video websites provide a range from short 5 minutes to full-length videos, freely viewable, including video transcripts, charts, and online books. Links to videos, many with sign language editions: Evil Pain & Suffering, Where Do We Go When We Die, 9 Discoveries That Confirm The Bible, Why Are There So Many Churches, Thief on the Cross, Sinner’s Prayer, End Times, Beyond the Stars, The Reality of Noah’s Ark, Biblical Timeline: From Creation to the Church, etc.
For many more, see   WVBS.org

House To House (Bible videos, audios, flyers, etc.)  1st century teaching, 21st century delivery.  From our library to yours.  100s of flyers, articles, etc. on topics and questions like:

Focus Press (Think magazine, DVDs, Flyers, etc.)  Our ultimate goal is to provide reasonable answers for those who are seeking the truth.  Think deals with difficult topics such as, stem cell research, intelligent design, cloning, abortion, homosexuality and other social issues that affect us as we live in an increasingly perplexed society.  Examples:  How Pain Proves (Not Discredits) the Existence of God,   Evolution’s back door into your home,   The sexual revolution goes to church Is your Christianity Jesusless?,  and more.
FocusPress.org

Spiritual Perspectives (Over 800 articles, Games, etc.)  Is there a God?  If so, who is God?  Is there a day of judgment coming?  Why are there so many Churches?  Will most people go to Heaven?
We believe the Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and that it is all we need in religious matters.  Therefore, we have no need for and do not subscribe to any man-made creeds, catechisms, doctrines, synods, councils, or anything of the like.  The Bible alone is sufficient; God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
Do you have a Bible question?  Feel free to contact us today, we’d love to study with you and help you find a Bible answer for it.  The best part?  We don’t want you to take our word for it, we’ll show you right from your bible what it has to say about your questions (it’s totally free too)!  Article examples:  “Baptism Does Not Save Us….” God Talks to Me Detecting BiasThe Bible and Dance,  and more.
SpiritualPerspectives.org  moving to   CoCWP.org

Miraculous Bible (Proofs that the Bible is from God)  Is there scientific proof that the Bible has a miraculous Source?  Famous scientists (Isaac Newton, Johannas Kepler, Michael Faraday, etc.) understood the Bible has a miraculous Source, so they used their Bibles to bust the myths of the "modern science" of their day.  Will you be a mythbuster like they were (1 Thess. 5:21)?  Isaac Newton's belief in the Bible was so well known that the government asked him to _____ because the people trusted him. 3400 years ago, Moses wrote about wooden bowls being better than pottery (anti-bacterial).  Job described a feature on the bottom of the ocean floor (average 2 miles deep).  How did they know that?  See the video.  New short videos by World Video Bible School here (See amazing archaeological discoveries, incredible scientific facts, … ).
MiraculousBible.org  or   UpwardEvolution.org

Why Baptism, Creation, Flood, Noah’s Ark Model (More links to articles, videos, debates, charts, and audios, on the subject of baptism, than any other website in the world)  Webster's dictionary uses man's definition for faith and baptism, not the Bible's definition.  So, no wonder there are so many churches (Why are there so many churches?).  What do most religious leaders teach about baptism?  Was Jesus too harsh when he called the religious leaders hypocrites?  The majority of leaders were wrong then, but are they also wrong now. (Remember: the "narrow path" implies that the majority is wrong.)  Are the majority wrong about FAITH & Baptism?  See the chart on the website below (does every conversion in Acts include baptism?).
Baptist smarter than Peter. Baptism "for the remission of sins"?
What is the purpose of Baptism?
Does the method of baptism matter to God?
When should a person be baptized (as an infant, or as an adult)?  Does “Baptism into Moses” Justify Infant Baptism?

Polishing the Pulpit (Bible Lessons, audios online)  Over 700 sessions and 150 speakers each year, all focused on bringing God the glory. … PTP began as a workshop:  Ideas & Panels. “This is what we do, it might work for you.  2-Minute idea sessions.  7-Minutes of wisdom sessions.  The emphasis is not ivory-tower but down-to-earth.  There are scholars’ classes but presenters in all classes are asked to present material that people can take back to congregations and put into practice.  Your notebook will be full; your mind will be racing.  Your heart will be rejoicing.
